Walk to Lead Leadership Programme

In 2010, I watched the film The Way with Martin Sheen, set along the Camino Francés in Spain. Something in me lit up. I remember thinking, One day. But with two young children, a full corporate load and no space to disappear across Spain, it felt like a quiet dream waiting for its moment.

That intention stayed with me.

In 2025, I finally made the pilgrimage. I walked two routes, the Camino del Norte and the Camino Finisterre–Muxía, around 1,100 kilometres over 48 days.

And I loved it.

Choosing Simplicity

My guiding intention was simplicity. No eSIM. No distractions. My phone became nothing more than a way to capture and share a short daily video. The noise, pace and pressure of everyday life fell away.

As leaders, we often move in constant motion. We know the value of pausing and listening inwards, yet the pull of the never-ending ‘to-do’ list can drown out the clarity we’re seeking. On the Camino, I stepped out of time and back into what mattered for me. That shift happened on day one, and it changed everything.

Achieving What Matters Most

It was during COVID that I had the initial idea, the start of a goal that really mattered to me: what if I created an immersive coaching programme that brought leadership development and a Camino walk together? A space where leaders can understand, recalibrate and strengthen their inner game, so their outer game naturally aligns with what matters most.

That seed of an idea grew. Today, the programme exists.
